I have a laser cutter that can cut a 12"x 24" area. It would be not be very difficult to make an acrylic sheet with holes cut into it to put over the board. The issue would be that it would expensive. I would probably do something were the acrylic sheet is in two pieces to for each player mat. Depending on where I could get the material sourced from it would be $10-20 per player mat.
