Note: Only short rest loses a random card, and you can suffer 1 damage to lose a different random card instead. You choose which card to lose in a full rest.
Hi, you are right about the resting stuff! I realized better after a few more plays!

A proper insert (such as the Broken Token one) helps a lot with the setup and teardown, but they're a bit expensive. Of course you'll still spend quite a bit of time doing stuff other than playing. :)
Yes, I know some of the options to organize better the game. I even created some foamcore inserts by myself. But basically this means either spend time other than playing building my own organizer or spending more money in an already high-price game. Anyway, is my friend's game so... he deals with most of the setup! :)

I felt the same way so I didn't do anything legacy-related such as applying stickers or writing on anything other than the individual character sheets (which are numerous and can be easily printed again). Instead, I kept track of progress on a simple spreadsheet which also helped me have two concurrent campaigns running.
I too don't like marking things up, but i do like updating the board and scenario book as things change. For the i bought 1/8 inch thick vinyl whiteboard tape so i can "mark things up" without permanently defacing things. That coupled with the removable sticker set, its a win-win for me.
Yes, spreadsheet or the vinyl witheboard seems like great options both! I'll consider it if some day I buy Gloomhaven (or maybe Frosthaven??)

Many years ago, a Revolutionary PC game called Deus Ex, changed computer games forever. I am speaking of the original PC game.
This is an awesome game. I didn't play all through it... Maybe I'll comeback to it one of these days. Also you are right about difficulty. In fact I really like the system, it's just that I was expecting a different thing because of the "AI"

I just recently started as well (about 8 scenarios played so far) but even from the starting classes there is at least one that is actively using obstacles (mentioned objectives like nests, tables, rocks etc.).
As it's a starting class I can tell you that Crag is playing around obstacles a lot.

I realize after more plays that yes, in fact you can use traps and obstacles in your benefit, which is great! :)
Thank you so much for all your comments! And keep enjoy (or not) Gloomhaven!
