I have:- base boxes which have all the necessary components to play a game: a full set of tokens, a subset of locations, a subset of heroes and a subset of villains.
- expansion boxes which have additional content: heroes and villains.
This way, when I want to play, I need to get at least one base box, then if I want some variation one or two other boxes (base or expansion)
I'm also using tokens for the characters, so the minis are separate. This makes so that each base box has between 40 and 50 characters total, more than enough for some variation.
