Okay, so I'm not entirely sure what exactly the question was, but there are a couple of things to point out. The Mindthief has a few different cards that make enemies attack other enemies. (Going by the text on the online PDF of the cards)

Submissive Affliction:
Force one enemy with Range 5 to perform
Attack 2
Range + 0
with you controlling the action.

where you would use the monster's stat to determine range, use the monster attack modifier deck, and also any additional effects from the monster's stat card, e.g. poison, multiple targets. The attack itself is an attack 2, not an attack +2, using the attack value on the monster's stat card.

Hostile Takeover/Domination:
Force one normal or elite enemy within
Range 3/5 to perform its turn this round
as if its allies were enemies and
its enemies were allies.

These make the monster act differently during its activation (note, you need to use these on the monster before it takes its turn, otherwise there is no effect), and will have the monster follow the instructions on its monster ability card for the turn, still using the monster attack modifier deck and any bonus effects on the monsters stat card.
