I present it to new players like it's the evil overlord which reacts any time you kill a monster and speed up throwing new events. As pawn reach N - evil wins, players lose.


That makes sense. Evil senses that the heroes are growing bolder, and thus pushes the timetable forward. I had considered something similar but wasn't sure how to word it. Good thought!
