Anyone interested in trying an online game of Shadows of Brimstone?
I've played a couple times now, and would be interested in starting up a group or two for some more games.
It's not graphically awesome, but the engine used does seem solid enough, and conveys what you need to know.
There are a couple of requirements.
- The game uses the Roll20 site, so you need a free account there.
- Communication is done using VOIP through Facebook, and I only speak English.
- You MUST own a copy of the game. I have automated the map tiles, Exploration, Scavenge and Loot decks, and a couple of minor things, but for the remaining card draws, it works off players drawing from their own decks. Similarly, you'll need reference to your own character, monster and town cards.
- My preference is to run Wave 1.5 (as it's what I have) but if most people only have Wave 1, I can make that work.
Here's a game in progress. USMarshal lagging behind a a Law(wo)man and an Indian Scout, in the Epic fight against a Darkstone Hydra, Night Terror and three Tentacles.
I'm thinking of running one game every second Wednesday night (starting the 17th), 7-8pm Eastern US time, and a second game every second Sunday night (starting the 21st) at about the same time. If there's a significant number of people on the west coast US interested, I'd be happy to consider delaying one. Other timezones aren't out of consideration, but it depends on interest.
