Yes, that is what we try to do. We don't look into the next room for details on enemies and their placement. However, in this particular scenario, staying in room 1 trying to defeat 6 ancient artillery that can deal massive damage at long range was not going to work so we got out of there before any were destroyed. Thus, none could spawn in room 2.
