I had trouble finding the faction advantages online so I'll present them here for you - personally I would recommend starting with Alignment party building then after a few games trying Faction Specific building.

EMPIRE
The Empress's Chosen

At the start of play, choose a character in your part. This character receives +1 Attack, +1 Defense, +2 Resistance, and may roll an additional die keeping the highest result when making any Attack or Charge (normal or special)

Combat Mastery
All characters in the Party receive the Innate Ability Critical Mastery. Any character already possessing Critical Mastery causes a Critical Hit on a result of 8, 9, or 10.

Imperial Armor
All characters in the Party Receive +1 Armor. This modifier cannot be reduced or negated in any way. Characters in the party will always have at least Armor 1, even if the attack would normally completely negate or ignore the defender's armor.




AZUR ALLIANCE
Organisation

During the Recovery Phase one character in your party can recover one additional Action Point. A different character can be chosen each turn. In level 400 or greater games, two characters can recover an additional Action point instead of one.

Absolute Control
Arbiters in the party receive an Additional Order Point each turn and their Influence Zone is increased by 2 inches.

Shadow Lords
Prowler's cost 5 Levels less for the party and they are worth 5 less Levels of Victory Points. This reduction does not affect the Character's true level in reference to abilities during the game. Therefore, a level 40 prowler is still Level 40 when you go to determine whether abilities affect it or not.




CHURCH
Unshakeable Faith

At the beginning of the game, place a Faith Counter on each character in the party. When an enemy attack reduces a unit's life points to 0, instead of being removed as a casualty that unit makes a Resistance Check against Effect 17. If the Check is passed, remove the Faith counter from the unit to allow it to stay in play with 1 Life Point.
This Advantage only works when an enemy unit directly causes the Damage suffered by the unit. A unit that loses its Life points due to a Sacrifice or Effect that removes it directly from play cannot use Unshakable Faith.

Exterminators
At the start of the game choose one of the following: Light, Dark, or Mystic. Characters in your party get +2 damage whenever they make any kind of attack against units of the chosen type.

Divine Mediation
You may reroll one die roll of your choice each Turn. In games at Level 400 or higher, you can reroll two die rolls per turn.




SAMAEL
Supernatural Mastery

The maximum distance of the Party's Ranged Attacks is increased by 4 inches. Mystics in the party increase their Control Zone by 2 inches when it is referenced by one of their magical Special Abilities.

Innate Mystics
Mystic characters in the party cost 5 less levels. This does not change their level in reference to effects during the game, just how many levels you paid for them and how many victory points they are worth.

Existential Link
All summons brought into play by the party appear with 1 additional Bind Point.




WISSENCHAFT
The Process

After the Upkeep Phase is over, place a positive State counter (Shield, Healing, Protection, Haste, or Berserker) on any two characters of the party. Each one can receive a different state (that is, in the same turn one character can receive Shield and another Healing.)
Both counters cannot be placed on the same unit.
Different characters can be chosen each turn. If only one unit can be the Target of this Advantage, the second Counter is lost.
The Process can't be used on Gears, or a unit that is Hidden during the Upkeep Phase.

Lost Loggia
You may double the number of Advantage Points and Advantage Cards that would normally be available to you for the game level and characters in your party.
For example, in a Gamma class game which is 300 Levels, and with a 6 character party, you could normally have up to 30 Advantage points and 6 Advantage cards. Lost Loggia enables you to instead have up to 60 Advantage points and be able to assign up to 12 Advantage cards.

The Gear Project
All Gears cost 5 levels less for the party and they are worth 5 less Levels of Victory Points. This reduction does not affect the Gear's true level in reference to abilities during the game. For example, a level 65 gear is still level 65 when you need to determine whether abilities affect it or not.
