That's the great thing about Heroscape. If you have enough units of the same faction to have exclusive armies, you can do that. If you want to mix factions based on units you "feel" are homogenous, you can do that. And if you just want to throw logic out the window and mix ninjas with robots with dinosaurs with elves with Iron Man, you can do that! As Obi Wan once said, "You must do what you feel is right."
