What the hell did you expect going in? Dungeonquest? Space Hulk? It's a kid's game. It says "8+" right on the side of the box. It's meant to be a stupid fantasy game.
What Wizards of the coast is "banking on" is that people will realize that it's a game to play with their kids, not something to replace Agricola. What's next on your review list?
Get the fuck out of Dodge with that noise.

"Candyland: Neither Sweet Nor Filling"
While Milton Bradley has updated the graphics and pawns, I can't help but get the feeling that this game could've been so much more? Why limit yourselves to only a few "Lose A Turn" spaces? Why do cards represent movement when there could've been a "candy factory" worker placement and resource management mechanic that could've easily been implemented to make this a darling game for the thoughtful toddler"

To me the important point is that there are better kid's games out there, that scratches the same itch...
Is it such a crime to ask for a little updating of the mechanics of a 30 year old game when it is re-released?
