you say it all like it is so easy to just print another 1000 copies. This isn't a print on demand business. There are only so many places that produce games. You have to get on the production schedule, and wait.
The producers of Eclipse have stated several times that they ordered the second print run well before they saw how popular and in demand the game was. But then it was too late to print more. There is supposed to be a BIG 3rd printing coming out this month in addition to the expansion. So I expect you will be able to get it soon.

I just heard about the game 2 weeks ago, when I was looking for the best space boardgames out there that can be played in under an hour. I was amazed to see how easy and well laid out the game was, but HUGELY disappointed I couldn't buy a copy for anything close to a reasonable price. This is GREAT NEWS! I'll keep hammering Amazon everyday until I see the new sets.
