Kolossal,
I don’t know how you do it. So many naysayers with not much to contribute, I get frustrated just reading the comments. Many of these commenters seem like ‘Gatekeepers’ of their own special game. They don’t want to share, the don’t want it changed.

Many of the naysayers probably have quite a lot of experience with the game as well, and that experience helps them in their estimate of the user-friendliness and ergonomics of the new design.

Commenters/Readers: I for one would like to hear more constructive criticism if you don’t ‘like’ something. What does that mean? What would you prefer?
It helps if you actually read the criticisms of the commenters. Several people have been quite clear about what they'd prefer.
Anyway, let's go from the not very unlikely assumption that Kolossal had meant to use these sneak previews to gather enthusiasm for the upcoming Kickstarter campaign for the game. Do you think that they are succeeding in this?
And do you think that they would have done a better job in explaining right away that the resource control map doubles as lid for the fleet box, instead of presenting it as a thing of its own, at first? So that everyone could have understood why the mat has so much unused space in a game where table space can be at a premium, and why it was sitting on a raised platform? Do you think that Kolossal being clear about this from the start might have pre-empted a lot of the negative commentary?
