I just killed the Dead King in two rounds with a two round fight. Early on you have to look out for the difficult fights and travel cautiously so you can avoid fights you don’t want want. The game before the one I beat the Dead King I got careless and got into a fight with I think it was Marauders. My one guy got captured and couldn’t get free and ended up dying. This was only a few rounds in.
What are you calling a round? Literally two movement/event phases? If so, how did you manage to rank up enough upgrades to pull off dealing 100+ damage to the Dead King?
Got one of the long board layouts. Built up while he was going back and forth. Right when he got to the last city I freed the city on the complete opposite end of town. Once on the way, teleported to otherside of map. Freed that city, did that for the four talismen we had. Built up a fortification. Waited for him to come for me. Did damage off the fortification, then I had the Brute use his mastery that allows him several uses of his attack. This literally did like 60 damage. Also had the trap specialist use his trap attack which was up to like 30 by then. Dead King's first attack was crap so I repeatedly this the next round. Dead.
I hadn't faced him before so it was hard to tell how long to build up before cranking out the final battle.
Still not sure what you're calling a round. Sounds like you consider the Dead King destroying all the cities one round. But earlier you said one of your guys almost died "a few rounds in." Your intitial post made it sound like you found a way to kill the Dead King in approximately 10 minutes or less worth of game time.
Two turn battle. I think you got what I meant and are just picking at straws. The bottle was two battle rounds or turns. Not Like anyone is going home tomorrow be able to kill him. The big key is just using teleport, freeing the cities; building a fortification, and stay away as long as possible. Obviously, the more stretched th board the better. Now I can try different board alignments and characters to try again.
