We've played about 8 campaigns, all with 5 players so far and it's been going pretty great actually.I always set the game up in advance of everyone arriving, the. We use the Gloomhaven Helper app which everyone can have on their phone which is great because everyone can do upkeep and everyone can see HP, statues, round order etc.
Balance wise, it's surprisingly still good. It's always tight. We just completed Scenario 13 and we had 3 exhausted characters and the last 2 with a few rounds left in them before they would have also become exhausted.
One scenario takes us about 3 hours, but we dedicate a night to it and aren't in a rush to complete the whole story and it's going great
