Pulling punches does not feel like a rewarding win to me. I will hold back to do something at a specific time. Exploiting a perceived group weakness. Wait till I get a few combination cards, pound down potential healers and knock out a hero as often as I can to increase my card draws.
Hero's need to understand getting side tracked with OL monsters is only playing into the OL'a hand.
The 1st few games were wins for the Hero's. and most were close games as we both learned the subtleties of each side and how the missions are actually to play out.

I pulled out a spectacular win on the 2nd encounter in Fat Golblin with Splig finally discovering Frederick as the Hero's gained the main hall. Only one Gobo left. The oblivious Hero's left the doors open and I played a Dash card I held back. They stood smacking their heads as I huffed on by....and out the door.

It was an pretty handy defeat to a 2 hero vs. OL game in the Castle Mission. OL resurrected all Zombies and ran them off the board. And those Zombies were used in the 2nd encounter and crushed the shadow binder in 4 turns... But that's 5 Zombies playing wacky-a-mole with the hapless victim. Hero's rolled poor and couldn't get the key in time. One more turn and the game would have been different.
