If it's in the Steam app there will be an accessible save game file. If it's not a binary file it might be reasonably obvious how to edit it to 'fix' it. Happy to take a look if you want to drop me a geek mail (I'm playing it on iOS myself, so I haven't got a save file that I can easily check)
EDIT: Just downloaded the Steam version to check out the save game file. Save file on my PC was in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Journeys in Middle-earth\JiME_Data\SavedGames\0
They are editable, but I don't know how easy it would be to spot the problem and fix it
Alternatively if you click in the button in the top right hand corner, there is an "Abandon Hope" button that fails the current adventure. I realise this would be annoying, but better than losing your whole campaign.

The "Abandon hope" and "Save&Quit" buttons are greyed out. It seems that the app gets stuck on the Shadow phase. I could of course send you the save file if you could take a look? Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Oh and naturally I reported to FFG Support about this problem. Hopefully they will address this quickly.
