This game has a 2.76, M&M sits at 2.67. How is this even possible?

Both games clearly aim for the same audience: families with experience in mainstream family-friendly board games (such as games that win the "Spiel des Jahres" award) who are ready to take a step further and dive into medium complexity games. Mice & Mystics, however, also aims for more experienced fans of dungeon crawlers / RPGs in general.

Legends of Andor does an excellent job at this, especially with its quick-start rulebook that allows you to set up the game and start playing without bothering for a second about any rules that will come up in chapters 2 and later.
Mice & Mystics, however, while being my preferred game of the two (as I enjoy some more complexity and RPG than Andor provides), fails horribly at this as it will make the average family spend more time looking things up in the horrible, vague rulebook than actually playing, thus probably turning the experience of the first chapter into a tedious and boring struggle with the rules.

This is exactly why I can't understand the difference in weight on BGG or how M&M can ever compare with Andor in terms of family and beginner-friendliness. Can you enlighten me?
