I feel the same way.One point, and this shouldn't convince any 2e owners to turn in their sets. But it is something for 1e owners to consider...
The amazing art on the tiles is brought up over and over again, but won't that make it all the harder to write unique stories for later gameplay using those same tiles? I never minded using chits for fog, ice, lava, pits, etc. It certainly made the pieces a lot more flexible.
