I wouldn't rate it any higher than a 2, but as others have said it's all relative - depending on what else you have played and your ability and/or willingness to read and learn rules. Its more complex than a pick up and play party game but a breeze compared to a wargame that may take a few days just to absorb the rulebook.
Cuba Libre is rated a 3.52 on BGG and is much more complex than Robinson Crusoe - but perhaps it's rated by people who tend to play more complex games?
RC may seem complex the first time you read the rules and play but after a few plays I rarely consulted the rulebook and now consider it a pretty light game that I can pick up and play from memory, as each turn follows a very predictable pattern of choices and possible actions.
Whatever your personal rating turns out to be, I think most people will find it fun.
