This is a really interesting topic to me, glad it got brought up. I was born in 85, but over my life I have noticed in general the quality of writing has really gone downhill.

In this case, with the rulebook, I have to say for me the hardest part about understanding it was the text heavy paragraphs. But after I got through that I have to say I can really appreciate how thorough it is.

I think my only complaint, as pointed out, is that important points are often just a sentence or two in the middle of a paragraph, where its not as clear as it could be to find.

I do think about innovation, especially in rule books. And I like the idea of it. Designing a rulebook that is easy to digest, and doing it well, is a good and satisfying thing I would imagine. And it'll happen whether we like it or not. There's even an app being developed now with the idea of being the go to place to easily learn games.

I personally like the learning process, and I really liked it with Ambush!. A large part of the reason I play board games and not video games is for the mental exercise I get. But I don't change is inevitable. Lets just make sure we all don't become so used to easy technology that there's noone left with the brains to innovate it!

Although "after destroyed" technically become active immediately when the condition of step 1 is met, we know "Destroyed:" resolve first.

if you believe the above the steps should be:

1. Damage hits threshold
2 "Destroyed" abilities resolves if there's any
3. After destroyed effects are resolved
4. Discard pile

purge/return in hand/archive are all effects that can happen on 2 or 3.

Not quite sure the difference between the two.

The paragraph that caught me up went something like this: Conduct best fire at any active enemies, otherwise easiest fire.

Seems like there's a difference I'm not picking up on. I would kind of assume easiest fire if best fire.

Yeah I know what you mean re imperfections I too have trouble with cutting out a perfect circle. Your's certainly do a better job at hiding it.
Nonetheless am happy with this pretty inexpensive option.

Cheers :)

In a particular case I have a german vehicle (small vehicle) with a driver and passenger. Passenger say is letter A, driver letter B. They are both listed on the same card.

The instructions on the card first say to move. So when the turn order comes up and the passenger takes his turn first, what happens? Do they work as a group and spend their turns to fulfill the instruction on the card? Or do they somehow work independently?

Yes but Cpt's, Doc's, Yeomen's and FO's personal Overkill explicitly says it can be used on the same tile. So what difference does the reminder make?

I do not think there is any rule saying that a passenger spends a Turn when a driver acts. It is not like firing a Crew weapon together.

I thought the store jumps to act 2 based on your progress and fame only says what items in the tier you get. Isn't it?

Anyhow, side quests are far better choice than resetting items. The gold adds up big time and as said, you can always sell your previous gear so there's no real need to reroll.

Can you remind me what the "Rocketeer Item Reminder" is? I am not sure what you are referring to.

These are defined somewhere, I think in the very first few pages of the rulebook (no rulebook in front of me now though).

I think "best fire" just means "aimed fire" if possible, and "snap fire" if not able to do aimed fire (e.g. if the soldier is wounded and had to spend 1 MP to crouch before firing).

EDIT: Are you sure the paragraph was really worded like that? I guess it was not exactly like that?

On Watch It Played (Free Youtube Channel), Rodney Smith ran a scenario with his son Luke who I think was 8 at the time.

He clearly had 0 problems with the game and seemed to have a lot of fun doing it.
