I know that if you're resting you must discard at least one card, but can you just choose to do no move and no action, or an action that costs no cards like buying an advanced action at the green city if you have enough reputation/shields to buy them without cards?

You have to play at least one card from your hand. If you don't, you have to discard at least one card from your hand. You might or might not do other things, but you must always play/discard at least one card.

As far as fans know, Mythic Battles Ragnarok is scheduled to hit kick starter in June. There is speculation that select pantheon items will be available as add ons, but this is unconfirmed.

From my personal experience, grey is easier to read for minis than many other colors.
Lighter colors like yellow, red, white make details hard to read.
Black would make details still hard to read.
I think if I were to choose a color to print my minis (which I have done on a lower quality personal printer, by the way), grey would be my go-to color when I want to be able to see the details.

A lot of games come in grey, so I guess I'm not the only one to think this way.

Painting is a nice hobby! You should try it some day. ;) Check this thread when you're feeling the itch:
What are you painting at the moment?

1) Does Antimatter Splitter work with Antimatter Missiles?
Page 11, description of Antimatter Splitter says "Allows you to split damage from Antimatter Cannons freely over targets" Since that explicitly says Antimatter Cannons, I'm gonna go with no.

2) Can an Influence action be used to play a disc on a completely empty sector, if the only connections you have to that sector are with ships that are pinned?
Page 14, describes where you can put a disk, the first option is "An Uncontrolled Sector where no opponent Ships are present and a Wormhole or Warp Protal Connection exists with a Sector where you have a Ship or Control" completely empty sector meets the requirements of the first part, your pinned ship meets the requirements of the second part. Note that Exploration (on page 9) explicitly requires you to have Control or an Unpinned Ship to explore from, so it seems this difference is intentional.

Well, I think the pandemic-like mechanic actually represents well the supernatural stuff making the populace panic and distressed. But I agree it's too much right now. Perhaps it should be as you say, start in a calmer fashion, maybe even with less doom tokens in the bag (or none), and have the effect amping up as the story progresses. It would feel more organic that way.

paulsecond wrote:

Or you could remove 1 doom token out of mythos bag and replace for a blank token. This way way you got 2 doom tokens, 1 explosion and 4 blanks. It helps with "doom spreading too fast" problem.
Yep, this too. There are various ways to mitigate the "whack a mole" effect, really.

Also, if they tone down the "whacka" I feel like they should fill the gap with some other mechanic. Perhaps bringing back the gate sealing from AH2e would be a good idea here. Have a separated board to be a different dimension, perhaps even with the 3 spaces as default, for players to travel to and explore. Perhaps make so these gates add doom to the scenario sheet if they stay opened for too long and have special encounters with rare/really valuable items/assets not found in any other place but which require tougher tests to beat. Etc.

Anyway, there are lots they can do here. But it all depends on them seeing that the game needs to be more open in first place. more do the same

All that negativity (some earned) has made my local game store here in Berlin dump the third wave expansions for 10€ a piece. Wow!
Got the base game for 45€ nearly unused.
I am so happy I got it cheap, I bought the Switch version for 24€ too.
:D

I have both Marvel Champions and Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'm planning on going all in on this one because I love the style of the minis, Eric Lang has my trust, and this will be great with my daughter as soon as she is old enough.
